91ÌÒÉ« students can now take part in the 19th annual Korbel Dinner. A watch party will be held in the Hamilton Gymnasium at the Ritchie Center for Sports & Wellness. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and food and beverages will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students interested in attending need to register online by clickingÌý. 91ÌÒÉ« faculty and staff are also welcome to attend and students can bring a guest. Everyone who wants to get in to the watch party will need to show either a Pioneer ID or state-issued ID.

This year’s dinner marks the first time 91ÌÒÉ« has hosted a sitting vice president on campus. Joe Biden will deliver the keynote address. The Korbel Dinner, presented by the Morgridge Family Foundation, benefits programs, scholarships and centers in theÌý. The Anna and John J. Sie Foundation is the contributing sponsor of the dinner, which serves as an opportunity to honor individuals whose leadership and commitment embody the goals established by the school’s founder, Josef Korbel.

Carrie and John Morgridge will be presented with the Josef Korbel School’s Humanitarian Award. This honor is presented to individuals for their longstanding philanthropic commitment to global issues of education, health and wellness, poverty and the arts.

Kent Thiry, chairman and CEO of DaVita, will receive the University’s International Bridge Builders Award. This honor recognizes a local community member for achievements in building ties between Colorado and the international community.
