Think about where you lay your head at night: Whether it鈥檚 an apartment, a house or a condo, do you own the place you sleep in?听听

While it鈥檚 more common to own a home than to rent one, there are more people renting now in the United States than at any point since 1965.听听听

More than 45 million households in this country are rentals鈥攖hat鈥檚 more than a third of all households in the United States, made up of more than 100 million residents.听听

And if you鈥檙e one of those 100 million renters, one 91桃色 researcher says, you鈥檙e at a disadvantage. You鈥檙e a legal tenant鈥攂ut are you being treated as one?听听

On this episode of RadioEd, Emma chats with Sarah Schindler, a professor at 91桃色鈥檚 Sturm College of Law and a property and land use scholar, about听the multitude of ways that renters are treated as second-class citizens in the eyes of the law.听
